SPRING COAT

spring coat Lois Opoku lisforlois
What's good my blog fam?

God, what have we done to our earth with global warming? The weather has never been more bipolar than the last couple of weeks, going from hot to cold, sunshine to monsoon in matter of 24h hours.
You might want to consider adding a spring coat/ trench coat to your wardrobe this spring especially with this sad excuse of a weather. Combating a cloudy cold windy day has never looked more cute than in a trench or spring coat. But not a boring camel trench - don't get me wrong, a nicely cut camel trench coat is classic!
I stumbled upon this coat from River Island and I just had to get it. It's a little to heavy now for spring, but consider lighter option. The color and print just make it an eye catcher!
I spied some more cute options from Topshop.
Nisi also wore the cutest trench for spring in vichy print (girls take note! Plus it's on sale). They can be such a statement piece and the focal point of an outfit. Throw it over a pair of jeans and a simple T-Shirt and watch your look go from nothing to something.

L IS FOR LOIS x FOOT LOCKER: HOW TO STYLE A SNEAKER 4 WAYS

puma footlocker lois opoku
Every year the same old story: Foot Locker's Week of Greatness. It's a become a tradition here on the blog and I never get tired of it. Foot Locker releases a crazy bunch of super cool sneakers and I get to highlight my favorite here on the blog. This time I chose the Puma Fierce that I styled up in four completely different ways. Can we just take a minute to acknowledge the fact that Puma has made a major comeback this year? Ever since Rihanna took over it's been going uphill. Well played Puma, well played. Of course Foot Locker released a few new Pumas (like the Puma Fierce I'm wearing) during Week of Greatness, along with some sick Jordans and Adidas NMDs, some in exclusive colour ways to Foot Locker.
In honour of Week of Greatness I decided to show you 4 different ways I'd rock sneakers. Here is my week in sneakers lookbook. Friday's we wear high heels to party :P
If you know me, you know I hardly ever wear heels IRL. Nothing goes over the comfort of a sneaker..
But keep reading to see the looks! :D

BROUGHT THE AFRICAN SUN BACK WITH ME

culotte streetstyle lois opoku lisforlois
Hey Guys,

How have you been? I just got from Africa and I have to admit the climate change was brutal. So brutal I got sick the minute I stepped of the plane in Amsterdam. Literally. However I brought the African sun with me in my heart which is why I'm sharing one more summery look with you. Tomorrow I'll share my insta diary from Ghana (you can see a preview of it right now on Instagram @LoisOpoku - check out my hashtag #lisforloisGHANA and then I'll share one more summer look and some more snaps from Ghana. Then I'll finally come to terms with winter and you'll get to see my winter wardrobe this year.
But for now I'll be happy with my summer look. Maybe it puts a smile on your face, maybe it'll make you miss summer as bad as me or maybe you're just wondering why I'm not in sync with the weather in Europe right now.
But somewhere on this globe it's still summer so.. (Ghana *cough*)

SUEDE AND LACED

Suede skirt Streetstyle lisforlois
NEED
I cannot deal with Berlin's weather right now which is why I'm escaping to the last few of my summer looks that are still unpublished. This is one of the looks I wore to Bread&Butter. I mixed suede and tan with black lace up details and finished it of with gold jewelry. I've been loving my jewelry from Stella&Dot which I've been wearing to every outfit in different combinations, which is why it's all the more annoying that my favorite pieces are left to dust on his shelf right on top of his bed knowing I'll never see it again.. *eye roll*
Good thing material things can be replaced.. another emotional bruise from meeting him is so not worth it. If he were to man up, he'd send them to me instead of using them as a cheap excuse to force me or worse blackmail me into seeing him again.

Anyway, can we have summer back please?! Who even enjoys freezing winter..?

DIESEL LOVERDOSE TATTOO

Diesel loverdose Tattoo eau de Parfum lisforlois
This post is dedicated to my favorite scent of all times Diesel Loverdose Tattoo. It's my signature scent. I know for a fact that it smells particularly different on my skin. It wouldn't smell the same on you or on friend the way it smells on me. I don't know what it is but the fusion with my skin and probably own odor see for a perfect match.
It's very sexy and smells very pleasant without being too much. It's the right kind of subtle without being lost, the right kind of without being heavy. It's sensual.
I haven't been wearing it lately since I've run out of it, but it kept me for good three years. I still remember the event Nisi took me to during Fashion Week 2013 where the scent was presented for the first time and since then we have not parted ways.

LEVIS 505C PRE LAUNCH PARTY

lois opoku levis 505c fashion week party lisforlois
What's up guys?
How have you been? It's been super quiet here lately, but I'm back motivated as ever! I finally got my hands on all my fashion week material I shot together with Phillip, which is why I'm ending the drought here on my blog with my first event from fashion week - the Levis 505c launch party that took place on the first night after my first shows right at the Ramones museum. I made a quick outfit change somewhere in the city and opted for my new 505c of course. It's a very loose fit/straight cut kinda jeans that kinda of looks like a hybrid of a mom jeans and boyfriend jeans. Super casual.
But you can dress it up any way - casual, edgy (which I tried here), you name it and go for it..
The event itself was nice. Berlin's fashion crowd gathered in the middle of the street, people enjoying a beer, a drink or two and street food served right of a food truck whiles polas were being made to save all the memories of that night.
I took home two polaroids, two memories caught on film.

It was a good start to fashion week..

ONE OF THOSE SUMMER DAYS.. AND MEMORIES

Umami Berlin Opening Lois Opoku Louisa Rachor lisforlois
I was going through pictures on my external drive, my laptop and flickr account. I found so many unpublished pictures and stories, so many finished and barely started scraps of what were supposed to be blog posts for you. Stories, reminders, memories for me. A journal and account of my life for us.
So much has gone lost, stuck in internet limbo because I never finished typing my thoughts, or unready to hit the publish button.

Among those I found these pictures. I still remember that day vividly. It was the opening of Umami Berlin, tucked in side street behind SoHo House. (Dikjubi had successfully opened his little restaurant - Umami. It's really good!) The taste of his mini burgers and the conversations we had. How especially pretty I thought Louisa looked, the sound of Lisa's laugh in the middle of a conversation and the exact temperature of that day on my skin.

SUMMER ON A BOAT WITH PFLANZENFREUDE.DE

Lois Opoku white dress summer lisforlois
A couple of week back, we got very lucky in Berlin. Well summer has decided to return this week, but that day, the sun decided to grace us with her presence after weeks of rain and Pflanzenfreude.de took us on a boat trip across the Spree. What a perfect day to wear white, Joeva and me did not .
I wore my white dress I got on a little shopping spree with Domi and Mali to Forever 21. It's the perfect summer mini dress. Cute, flowy and a sweet front detail. I chose to wear espadrilles, simple, comfy and still chic, especially navy striped espadrilles or chanel look-a-likes (my personal favorite).
It was a beautiful day and I had a lot of fun. Some of you followed my story on snapchat (loisopoku), you know what I'm talking about. I'm sorry, but you just can't suppress your inner Beyonce ;P
Surrounded by pretty flowers and plants, endless cups of froyo + fruits, summer lemonade with the sun kissing my skin as the swift breeze of Berlin's Spree cooled my face - a moment of total bliss.
You know that tingling sensations on your skin? That's summer.
If every day could start like that... *sigh*
Thanks for having me on board, Pflanzenfreude.de - Thanks for filling my morning with a little more Freude (def.: happiness)

CAROLINE BLOMST x ESPRIT SWIMWEAR COLLECTION LAUNCH

lois opoku esprit x caroline blomst swimwear collection launch lisforlois esprit x caroline blomst swimwear collection launch lisforlois
You may have seen on my Instagram (@LisforLois) that I've had my first swim this year! Esprit rented out the Stadtbad Neukölln, which by the way is one of the most beautiful swimming pools I've seen in Berlin. Ancient paintings and frescos, greek architecture.. ah! All to present their latest design collaboration with none other than Stockholm Streetstyle's very own Caroline Blomst. I've always admired her sense of style and her vision to discover great looks on the streets of pretty much anywhere now, not limited to Stockholm as the name of the blog may convey.
I was looking forward to see what she created.
After arriving two hours late - yes, sadly I missed the swim dancers, I had misread my invitation - I still took my time to browse through the new collection while sipping freshly made smoothies and munching on my fruit bowl.
Jasmin, me and Cindy from the Esprit took it upon ourselves to jump into the pool. The water was so inviting! While most girls left, we couldn't complain having the pool all to ourselves. I mean why did Esprit rent the entire place for, right? :)

My favorite piece of the Esprit x Caroline Blomst collection has to be the white bathing suit, that has such a timeless cut. The bikinis are well padded and have very flattering cut for your cleavage. Trust me, even my mini boobs looked nice and plum. The collection mainly plays with different patterns and different kind of mix and match styles to every pattern and cut.
Overall a cute collection Esprit and Caroline Blomst have created together.
I'm summer ready..

RED ACCENTS AND LACE DETAILS

Lois Opoku fall fashion lisforlois michael kors mini bag
Hey Guys,

How have you been? I'm back at uni. I've pretty much hated uni the past year, but this year is different. I'm motivated, and I've even managed to programme some really awesome shit. Yeah, yeah i know it's pretty basic sofar, but I won't let anyone rain on my parade. Having no prior knowledge to computing whatsoever, I feel elated and very much like an OG when I write my own programes and get them to actually work.
If you don't already know I study Business + IT here in Berlin since last year. Ehem this year. Last year was more of an alibi thing. I was struggling and ended up not going at all, because at uni you are free to choose to attend. And one thing I like to do is avoid and stay clear from things that I don't like, that make me uncomfortable.
This year is going to be different.

I chose some cute pieces from Wallis for today's look. Perfect for fall transitioning I chose this sweater with lace detail - its accent matching perfectly with my lil Michael Kors. For accessorizing I limited myself to arm swag and statement studs which I also got from Wallis. (How cute is that glittery buckle belt bracelet?!)
I've always been a huge fan of patent leather loafers and I wore my first pair I got from H&M to death. So I can't be more happy to finally have a new pair. They still need adjusting to my feet and once they get comfortable, my feet and them slippers will be inseparable.
These faux ponyhair slippers are everything.

GREEN SHAPES AND REFLECTIONS

Lois Opoku green dress Michael Kors bag lisforlois
These shots were taken right after my morning at the Uniqlo store for the Ines de La Fressange collections launch and my awesome afternoon with Levis. I'm totally loving the reflections in the huge windows, perfectly matching to one of my favorite dresses. This dress is a piece from the last ASOS Africa collection. I got it at the ASOS sample sale where every dress cost 5€! (So lucky I grabbed it before Hadnet Tesfai (truly beautiful German TV personality), because she was really digging that dress and couldn't stop complementing me on my find.) Btw I never really revealed what I end up buying at that Sample Sale, but this is one of those dresses. Trust me, Sample Sales are THE B.E.S.T.

I WEAR WHAT I LIKE AND I LIKE WHAT I WEAR - ABOUT BEING TOO FAT FOR CROP TOPS

Selena Gomez Adidas NEO Lois Opoku lisforlois
Hey Guys,
How have you been? Just wanted to share my outfit I chose for the NEO Brunch with Adidas NEO in Munich earlier. Finally get to show you one of my favourite summer jackets which is this flower bomber from the Selena Gomez for Adidas NEO collection.
I've been living this combination lately:  a pair of rad ass and comfortable sneakers, high waisted skater skirts (perfect to accentuate my rather small waist and hide my growing belly under them ;) Reasons to wear high waisted skater skirts: Check! Double check! These kind of skirts were made for my body shape and I adore them!). Paired with a crop top as to give the illusion of me being super skinny, because you know, crop tops are for skinny girls.

THE NIKE FREE 5.0 PRE-LAUNCH EXPERIENCE

Nike Free Lois Opoku lisforlois Nike Free 5.0 Launch Berlin lisforlois

I visited the Nike Free 5.0 Pre Launch experience together with the Nike Team. Everyone was welcome to the event, given that you showed up in any pair of Nike Frees. Luckily I own a pair, my only shoes I use for gym and love ever since I got them. The event was fun! They had a photo wall inspired by the new Nike Free 5.0 campaign, drinks and snacks. You were able to try on the new Nike Free 5.0 and even hit the block for a quick run with one of the trainers in the shoes. I even got to design my own pair of Nike Free 5.0 with Nike ID. It took my forever to design my shoes because of the limitless options and color ways Nike ID offers. But finally I decided on something.
Can't wait to hold my pair in my hands and see the results!
I hope they'll look something like on screen!

LEO LOVER

Hanging out Berlin lisforlois

Here's my total outfit from the day I was hanging out with Dogi& Ina. It's the first time I left my house in high heels without an extra pair of flats to change in. And I survived! I'm wearing my favourite mini leo dress (it's become a little short :/ ... ) and the most comfy pair of wedges I own. You wouldn't think they're H&M Divided.

STELLA AND DOT EVENT II

I've finally found time to publish the pictures from the Stella and Dot event that took place a few weeks ago. I met up with Nisi and together we made our way to the Hotel Michelberger, where the Team was waiting for us with delicious food and room full of jewelry. Stella and Dot is a company from the US, but thier products can be purchased online or from their so called trunk shows.
We had the chance to take a look and play with the pieces during a photo shoot. But before Hair and Make was done by M.A.C.

STELLA AND DOT

Wednesday night I visited the Stella and Dot event held at the Ellington Hotel. It felt a lot like an art exhibition. Not only because of the paintings on the white walls, the walking waiter serving champagne on a tray or the fine dressed ladies, but also because of Stella&dot's jewelry and the way it was exhibited, which indeed looked like a piece of art. I'm head over heels with the jewelry, especially those statement necklaces.
I'm a sucker for statement necklaces..
